Sartek Modified GoPro® Housing

The Sartek replaced the original GoPro®
dome port with a optically flat Borosilica Glass window. The
original port had a lens quality to it that produced out of focus video
when submerged. This out of focus condition was not really that
noticeable with the SD camera but the problem became obvious with the HD
Camera. The high resolution of the HD imager needed a flat
undistorted window to look through. This is also why you do not
want to use a plastic window. Plastic can have surface
imperfections that will distort the image and not take full advantage of
the resolution capability of this camera. Sartek also wet tests
each housing to 240' to insure that they are water tight. The
Sartek modified housing can use any of the options that are available to
the stock GoPro® Housing. $100 +

The HD Hero® is the smallest, shockproof, waterproof 1080P video camera available. With its Sartek modified 180' rated housing, it is smaller than a bar of soap. The Sartek modified housing has a Borosilicate Ground Glass window, which will deliver the sharpest video, this differs from other after market modified housings that use a plastic window that can distort the video. The HD Hero® can record up to 4 hours of HD 1080P video on a 32G SD Card. The camera has a 170° lens which captures just about everything in front of you (120˚in HD mode). The HD hero is also a 5 megapixel still camera that can shoot manually or automatically at preset intervals.
