The SBV-1 allows a diver to breathe air directly into the Oral/Nasal Cavity of a full-face mask without the risk of CO2 buildup. The SBV-1 design allows divers to stand fully operational on the surface without reducing their gas supply. The SBV-1 is available for most full-face masks. The low profile of the SBV-1 reduces the chance of an entanglement.

The SBV-1 is designed for divers utilizing a full-face mask. It is perfect for public safety divers that dress en route to a call. A diver can arrive fully dressed, mask on, ready to enter the water. Backup divers can maintain a ready position with the mask on, instead of placing the mask on only in the event of an emergency. This reduces the possibility of a backup diver rushing and placing the mask on improperly, wasting precious time during a life-or-death situation. For instructors, the SBV-1 saves time and energy by allowing them to talk through the vent and not having to remove their mask.

Maintenance is simple.

There is only one moving part. Simply freshwater rinse the SBV-1 along with the full-face mask. Periodically grease the "O" rings, and you're done!

Installation is easy.

To place the SBV-1 on an AGA full-face mask, simply remove the communications port cover by removing the two screws that attach the cover. Replace the cover with the SBV-1 and tighten the two screws.

The SBV is available for AGA, Ocean Reef® and EXO® full-face masks. Also now available with the OTS (Ocean Technology Systems) Communication Systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get water into my mask if I forget to close the SBV-1?

You will get a little bit, but the pressure from the mask will prevent your full face mask from flooding.

Can I put communications in the SBV-1?

Yes. The SBV-1 is now available with the OTS (Ocean Technology Systems) Communication Systems.
